5 activities to get you in the mood for the Holidays

Thanksgiving just passed by and you feel like everyone is already way too excited for Christmas. But it's still November. NOVEMBER!
You look out the window and...horror! You see your neighbour has already put up his Christmas lights. Doesn't he know it's socially unacceptable to do that before December 1rst? He probably doesn't. But that doesn't give you the right to act like the Grinch. There are some things everyone loves about this time of the year, and you are no exception. So, I will tell you five activities to get you in the mood for the Holidays.

1.German Christmas market
Let’s just say it takes a lot of patience to go to the mall during the Holidays season. Kids are running everywhere, people are arguing on the price of tablecloths and... don'teven get me started on parking. Instead of living this nightmare all over again, visit your local Christmas market. This will get you instantly in the mood for the Holidays and you will eat the best comfort food in town (who doesn't love a giant pretzel?).
2.Ice-skating
If you are lucky enough to live in a place where you can do outdoor ice-skating, go for it. Gather a couple of friends, put your skates on and have fun. Of course, one of you is bound to fall on his butt, whichis hilarious. That way, you will have something to laugh about during your Christmas dinner.
3.Fir or Pine tree farm
You might think it's too early to go pick out your Christmas tree, but let's be real. By the time you get to the 15th of December, all the best trees will be gone. It's also a good occasion to gather all of your family (or your dog) and walk within a nicely scented forest. You may not need a Christmas tree, but you will surely enjoy the walk.
4.Gingerbread cookies
Don't get me wrong. I am that one individual that always eats out because I don't want to cook. But each year, the Holidays cast a spell on me, which transforms me into a home-cook goddess. Banana bread, meat pie, turkey, you name it, I cook it. But the one thing that always gets me in the mood for Christmas is gingerbread cookies. I love cooking, decorating and giving them. Make sure you have your cute apron on!
5.Treat yourself
It is the season to give, but also the season to feel good about yourself. How about buying a little pre-Christmas gift for yourself this year. Maybe a massage or that new handbag you have been eyeing for months? It doesn't have to be something expensive, just a little something that makes you smile.
Of course, there are tons of other activities to do, but these are my favourite that gets me ready for the Holidays. Hope you enjoy them andhave a joyful Holiday season. Also, please don't forget to follow my winter adventures on Instagram (shameless self-promo).

How to start planning your wedding

He or she just proposed! Congrats! You are now planning a lifetime of happiness together and, in the upcoming year(s), a wonderful wedding. But the question now hanging on your mind is; where do I start? I remember asking myself the same when the "OMG I am getting married" phase finished. How do I plan my wedding? What is my vision? Who should I ask for help? Keeping this in mind, don't forget that you are not alone in this adventure and that your fiancé is probably asking himself or herself the same questions. So sit down together, grab a cup of coffee and start reading my top 7 steps on planning your dream wedding.
1.Wedding Planner
Yes, you can hire a wedding planner right away to save you a lot of time and headache. They often offer quality services responding to the client's personal interests and desires. Plus, they know all the local secrets and latest wedding trends. But it is unfortunately not for free. As a cheaper and even more personalize alternative,  I recommend you buy a wedding guide (or planner) in your local book store. Most of them are  well-made and have all of the information you need to know during your pacification. From budget to detailed guides, this will be your bible. You can find a few of my favourites here:
-Indigo: Meg Keene

2.Religious or civil
Probably one of the least enjoyable but most important decision you have to make with your other half. Do you want a religious or civil ceremony? If there is any hesitation between the two of you, make sure you make a list of the pros and cons of each type of ceremony together. In the end, you will spend the rest of your life with the other person, so you better start communicating now.
3.Guests
One of the first thing you should do is sit down with your fiancé and start doing your guests list. Here is a tip; start by the most important people you want at your special day (close family, wedding party, important friends, etc.) and continue the list by order of importance to yourselves. Remember! It's YOUR wedding. So if you don't want to invite the drunkard cousin or the overly-attached jealous bridesmaid's boyfriend, it's your choice. Make sure you are surrounded by the most important people for you and your fiancé.

4.Budget
Now that you approximately know your number of guests, you have to set a budget together. Get help from a recently married friend or your wedding planner. Once you set your mind on a number, make sure you respect it along the way. At this point, you should also decide if you want the guests to pay for attending your wedding.
5.Date
If you are like myself and work on weekends, setting the date can be kind of tricky. Most people work during the week and have the weekend off, so choosing the right day only depends on yourselves. Depending on the type of wedding you intend to have, it can take you up to 18 months to plan it, so make sure you have enough time. You should also make sure to have different date options, because your venue location might not be available on your initial choice.

6.Location
Let me tell you one thing; the location has to be somewhere that you both want, not something that everyone else wants. First, you should make a list of what you want for your venue. Do you want to have your ceremony and reception at the same place? Do you want to celebrate your wedding outside? If so, what was the weather like for the past 10 years? (Find out here). Do you want it to be a destination wedding? Or where the bride was born? Once you've figure this one out, all you have to do is visit the places and book it.
7.Inspiration
During the week following the proposal, we got so excited, we bought 3 wedding magazines, which were filled with publicities and  about two interesting articles. We felt overwhelmed and were disappointed since we didn't feel inspired. Then, one of my friends, who recently got married, told me that she found her wedding ideas on Pinterest and that there were tons of inspiration. Way too many coffees and late-nights scrolling through the internet later, we found our wedding theme and overall inspiration for our wedding. But remember, once you have found your theme, do not look back, or you will have regrets. (My pinterest)
These were just a few tips that I found especially useful once I got engaged. I hope they will help you navigate through the preparation of your wedding. And most importantly, don't forget to have fun planning it together. It might be stressful at first, but it will be pleasant since it's a reflection of your future life alongside each other.

Taipei: The temple guide

If you ever have been to Taiwan, you will know that religion is a big part of the culture. You cannot walk within Taipei without stumbling on one of its numerous places of cult. The vibrant capital of Taiwan wouldn't be itself without its magnificents and mysterious temples. During my last trip on the Ilha Formosa, I made a point on visiting every temple that was recommended. Here are the top 5 you shouldn't miss when visiting Taipei.

1.Longshan temple
Probably the most popular temple on the island. This Buddhist place of worship was first built in 1738, but was destroyed in numerous earthquakes and fires. It was last rebuilt in 1945 after an air raid bombed the whole area. Neither less, the detailed structure and notable artwork make up for its troubled past. Taiwanese come here every day to pray (especially on Sunday), so it might be a bit crowded, but still breathtaking.
2.Confucius Temple
Built in 1879 in honour of the famous teacher, the Confucius temple in an architectural treasure. With its fine artwork and striking ceremonies, you will be taken back in time while visiting the magnificent holy place. Don't forget to explore all of the courtyards, since they all are unique.
What first started as a wooden shrine in 1742, quickly became one of Taipei's most active temple.
3.Baoan Temple
Dedicated to Baosheng Dadi, the folk religion god of medecine, this place of cult welcomes tons of Taiwanese every day to pray for health and fortune. Don't be afraid of the craved dragons and numerous images of deities, since they are here to protect the community.
4.Matyr's Shrine
Right next to the Grand Hotel, the Martyr's shrine stands in the middle on the mountain. It was built in 1969 in honour of the fallen heroes of the Republic of China's war. The temple is remarkable on its own, but the changing of the guards steals the show every hour (9am-4pm).
5.Xingtian Temple
One of the most underrated place of cult in the whole city must be the Xingtian temple. Located in Zhongshan district, it is devoted to Guan Yu, the patron of businessmen. First, its amazing traditional red structure stands out in the middle of the skyscrapers and second, it is the first temple in all of Taiwan to ban the burning of incense in an effort to reduce air pollution. Pretty amazing, right!? But the best part most be the interior court, where monks takes care of the ceremonies and meticulously clean the space.
I wish I had more time to explore all of Taipei's temples, since there is an hidden treasure waiting at every street corner. But that would have taken me years. Fortunately, those five temples are extraordinary on their own and shouldn't be missed on your next visit to Taipei. I hope you have amazing adventures on your next trip to Taipei.

How to travel with your significant other

Travelling solo (as a girl or a boy) can sometimes be pretty scary, though liberating. I have done it before and I still love it. But, I also love exploring new places along side my boyfriend. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you prefer travelling with your loved one. Sharing your adventures with your other half can also be amazing. It builds ones character, makes your relationship stronger, and helps you discover places you would never though existed before. Here are a few tips I have learned along the way.

1. Compromise
Whether it is at home or abroad, compromising is part of any healthy relationship. During your planning and the travel, you both should take decisions together and have equals fun. For example, if one wants to visit a certain place and the other don't, make sure the other person gets to visit another place he or she really wanted to see. Compromise can also be associated with money. Don't get yourselves in debt because you want to travel in luxury. If one really wants to go to a 5-star hotel, how about the next day you go to a hostel or do camping?
2. Trust
Even though this might seem a bit weird since you are travelling together, trust is an important thing. One of you might be a bit more of an adventurer while the other might not like going off the beaten path. Trusting one and another abilities and feelings will save you from embarrassing situations and even from a few fights.
3. Listen
We all are different, and each individuals in a relationship is no exception. That is the reason why you should listen to each other opinion and needs. Starting by planning the trip in itself, you should pick a destination both of you are excited to go to. You also should set a budget based on the lower income, so that money doesn't come as an issue. Also, for the ladies travelling with their boyfriend, don't forget about the food. If one says he or she needs something (food, bathroom, rest, etc.) listen to him/her.
4. Talk
As much as I would like to tell you the contrary; there will be conflicts between both of you. It is unfortunately part of every couple's trips. Travelling can become quite stressful and, thus, bring the worst of ourselves. But you can make it less uncomfortable by talking it out. Having a discussion or simply speaking out when something is not to your liking can spare you a few headaches. A new culture can also be the opportunity to talk about future projects or taboo subjects. Make sure both opinions have been said for you to have a wonderful adventure.
5. Enjoy
All those beautiful tips can help make the travel easier, but it would be no fun if you don't enjoy each other's company. Don't forget that you are travelling with your significant other and that this trip was made for both of you to relax. You might not be travelling every day of your life, so take the time to savour those moments together.

I must say, the first time I went on a trip with my boyfriend, we ended up arguing all the time. We came back completely exhausted, but learned from it. It made our relation stronger and we understood more about each others' expectations and personalities. Travelling with your loved one can be a challenge, but once you have set your boundaries, he or she can be your best travel companion. Remember that no matter what, you love each others.

Enjoy,

Travel diary: Santorini

When I was younger, I would look at the pictures of the beautiful Cyclades island and imagine myself on a romantic dinner, overlooking the Caldeira. Of course, when I turned 25 years old, I convinced myself that I had to experience this vision. I booked my flights and, in September 2015, realised a life-long dream of visiting Santorini alongside my love. Here are a few places we experienced.

1.Oia
When you think of Santorini, the first thing that pops into your mind is the classic blue church roofs and breath-taking views. Those are located in the village of Oia on the north-western part of the island. This animated town is the number one destination for newlyweds and tourists for a reason. The narrow streets, filled with high-end shops and beautiful white-painted hotels, makes this part of the island very special. If you go to Santorini, you definitely can't miss Oia.
2.Fira
The archipelago's capital is far from being a boring town. It is the cultural and economical center of the island. This highly perched village is offering breathtaking views of the Caldeira and a large variety of shops. Even though it has many museums and archaeological sites, Fira is mostly known for its young crowd and cool bars. But even if you are not a party animal, such as myself, you can still appreciate the active town by sipping a glass of a local vineyard while looking at the Mediterranean sea.
3.Red Beach
Even though Santorini isn't renowned for its beaches, it is home to some amazing natural rock formations. The red beach, taking its name from the vibrant color of the rocks forming the cliffs, is one of the most popular spot for tourists. It is accessible by a short hike on a hill overhanging a strand of ochre pebbles. It might not be the best place to get your tan, but you can practice snorkelling among the uniquely coloured rocks.
4.Akrotiri
Located at the other extremity of the island, the antipode of Oia is a small and calm village with loads of potential. Akrotiri stands out from the other towns with its historical village of Goulas, dating back to the 14th century. Now a destination for all the Greek history fans, Akrotiri keeps its traditional charms with perky taverns and fruit stall vendors. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, rent a car and go watch the sunset over the Agean sea, you won't regret it.
5.Caldeira
One of the nautical activity you should try in Santorini is taking a small cruise to the famous Caldeira. While explaining the history of the active volcano, the captain will take you to the Agean sea and explore underground hot springs around the volcanic formation. And don't forget to hop on a donkey on your way up from the port to Fira.
I never would have thought that in a thousand years Santorini would be more beautiful in real-life than in pictures. Exploring this beautiful island made me realise how much our planet has to offer, no matter where you are. We definitely enjoyed our time there and will be back soon enough.

Enjoy

New Year Resolutions

I feel like every new year, we make resolutions we intend to keep, but forget them as the year goes by. I am guilty of making vague and unattainable objectives that I regret latter on. So in 2017, I decided to get it together and set goals that I wish to attain by the end of 2017. The process might be long and filled with hardships but I intend to keep those resolutions. 1. Run a half-marathon Almost everybody's plan is to get healthier. Whether it is about fitness or nutrition, we all have the same goal. Here is the thing: I can't have that Victoria's Secret angel figure if I don't change my habits.  Trying to blindly attain a certain body type won't give me a better quality of life. During the process of reaching a goal, we all have to go through a questioning process; Why I am doing this? What motivates me? Why am I stalled? What can I do to help myself?  Deciding to run a half-marathon isn't new to me, I have been running for quite a while. I first did a 5k run, then a 10k and, now, a half-marathon. Set concrete goals that are attainable and you will succeed.
2.Get better at photography Whether it is on social media or simply for fun, I love taking pictures of different subjects. Each year, when I look back at my photographs, I can't help but notice the mistakes I made. And each time, I feel like my skills got slowly better, but never enough. I wouldn't see myself as a perfectionist, but I would like my photography to get to a certain level. So this year, I decided to treat myself to a new camera, and maybe a photography class. I sincerely hope you will like the results.
3. Think positively It is no secret that 2016 was rich in amazing experiences, but also quite sad in some parts. This year, I lost a person that was very dear to me. Even though it is part of life, it got me thinking negatively for a while. What got me back on track was thinking that this person wouldn't want me to be sad. This year, I set the goal to stay positive. It might sound corny and, to some people, unrealistic, but I strongly believe there is a bright side to almost everything.

4. Put myself out there more It is so easy to be behind the camera or behind the computer screen and post beautiful pictures with cute captions. But, putting yourself out there for the world to see, whether it is your face or your personal thoughts, isn't easy to do. This year, I decided to show more of myself, get more personal and step out of my comfort zone to show you a different side of me. My interests are various and I hope to show them to you on the blog during this upcoming year.
5. Spend time on myself Working full time as a nurse and part-time as a blogger can take the majority of my time (if not all) and, for the little time that was left, I would spend it with my family and friends. This year, I decided to take care of myself more. I will prioritize those moments alone with myself when I need them. I will work on myself to make me feel good in my own skin. I will cry if I want to cry, I will laugh if I want to laugh and I will take time off to relax. This doesn't mean I will barricade myself and live as an hermit. On the contrary, I will see my family and friends when I want to and have a great time, because I will be the best version of myself.
I know these resolutions might reach some of you and some not at all, but I hope it made you reflect on yourself and your 2017 goals. Remember that there are a lot of ways to reach your objectives and that mistakes were made to open new doors.

5 amazing places to visit in Bali

During spring 2014, two of my close friends and I parted ways as they went on a south-east Asian backpack trip for several months. When they left, we promised to see each other on my next vacation. Since that vacation was in may, I joined them as they were touring Indonesia. I was thrilled! I had seen all the beautiful photography of Bali on the web and I couldn't wait to see it with my own eyes. Right before I left, I broke the bank, bought a brand new camera and shoved it in my backpack. It was the longest flight of my life, but was definitely worth it. During my 3 weeks' vacation, we toured many places. Some had been on my bucket list for a long time, others I discovered should clearly be on yours. Without any further due, here are five amazing places you should visit in Bali.

1.Ubud
This beautiful village is so much more than the classic rice paddies pictures. It is the cultural and religious center of Bali. If you are interested in the Balinese history and the insulars' various religions, make sure you pay a visit to Ubud. You will find heartwarming habitants and a delicious gastronomic heritage.
2.Uluwatu temple
If you are afraid of monkeys, beware! Still, Uluwatu is a breathtaking place to go. The temple, located right at the edge of a cliff, offers a view over the Indian Ocean. Experienced surfers also come to this place to catch the insane Balinese waves.
3.Batur Volcano
If you are looking for the hike of your life, mount Batur should be your pick. Guides often offer a full day hike, including an egg breakfast baked on volcanic rocks, while catching the sunrise. While being now dormant, the volcano once had an eruption which destroyed most of the surrounding villages. From the top, you can see the "lucky temple", sole survivor of this incident, and Lombok island, floating in the Indian Ocean.
4.Pendawa Beach
With its crystal clear waters and endless white sand beaches, I am still wondering why the tourists didn't invade this place. The locals clearly see this place as their little heaven, since it is impeccable.  I would recommend bringing a good book, for after swimming in the ocean, you will want to bathe in the Indonesian sun.
5.Batukaru temple
Located in the center of the island, this temple is on the foot of a sacred volcano and the Balinese consider it the protector from evil spirits. This huge temple, though worshippers are still present, is regularly frequented by local tourists, especially during the Balinese holiday. Most temples aren't accessible to the visitors, because they are still a site of worship, but you can walk freely around the main attractions. If you are a nature lover, I highly recommend visiting this sacred place. You will leave feeling zen.
Even though all of these five places are splendid, Bali has much more to offer to any type of traveller. I hope you have the opportunity to visit this rich island on your future travels and if you do, take this chance to visit the sites I mentioned.

Top 5 places to visit in 2017

It is midnight on the first day of 2017; we wish everyone a happy new year, make resolutions we probably will not keep and think of buying a gym membership. January 1rst is always a day filled with excitement for the upcoming year. It is the beginning of a new calendar and opportunities, making us realise we have a promising future ahead of us. To some, like myself, this future is filled with travels and discoveries. You can be sure that as soon as the clock strikes midnight in 2017, I'll be on my computer, trying to find the best deals to travel all over the world. 2017 is looking particularly bright on that area. Airplane tickets are getting cheaper and countries are making themselves look enticing by investing in the tourism industry. All of this combined makes us ready for new adventures. Some countries especially distinguished themselves over others;  here are my top five places to visit in 2017.

1.Taiwan
Even though it is a small island located in the Pacific Ocean, Taiwan has its place in history. Known for its rapid growth and industrialisation, the Chinese island is still full of tradition. In the last decade, the tourists took over the island, which is now a popular destination. From the modern Taipei to the traditional tea plantation, passing by the south-eastern beaches, Taiwan has it all for itself. It is now a traveller and foodie paradise, where the insular hospitality is well-known.
2.Canada
This might look like a shameless plug, but my home is actually a country you should visit at least once in your lifetime. The Canadian dollar got pretty low in the last months, making it an affordable trip. Since the country is wide, there is a large variety of sceneries and climates to see. From the Maritimes to the Canadian Rockies, there are plenty of places to visit for every type of traveller.
3.Oman
The real door between Asia, Africa and Europe, Oman is a rising star in the tourism industry. With its clear blue water and ochre sand dunes, it is no wonder the country reclaims Sinbad was its inhabitant. The culture and the hospitality of the locals make this destination especially welcoming. Just looking at the pictures, I know Oman is on my list.
4.Ethiopia
When thinking of booking your next travel destination, I am pretty sure Ethiopia doesn't come on the top of your list. Well, it should. Don't you remember Lucy? The oldest human bones were found in Ethiopia, where history meets civilisation. From UNESCO world heritage sites to cultural experience, the African country has much to offer for your next travel. Make sure you take a look at this beautiful place in 2017.
5. Columbia
If you are like me and spend your days on Netflix, Columbia is associated to the Medellin drug cartel. At least, that is what I tough until a curiously googled "Columbia". What I saw was a breathtaking country with lots to offer. The colourful houses, spicy food, Caribbean beaches and Amazon excursions made me want to buy my plane ticket right away. And if you are worried about the security, do not worry, it is a safe place to visit.
I hope these destinations made you dream of your next travels and that I inspired you to visit a few of them in a near future. I personally will restrain myself from buying plane tickets for all of them, but I might buy at least one.

5 festive drinks for the New Year

Are you tired of the same old drink every New Year's Eve? Plain champagne and your aunt's "special holiday punch" do not appeal to you anymore? You might be in need of a change in your cocktail wardrobe. I assembled a few of the most festive drinks you should try on this special day. As a host or simply for yourself,  here are a few cocktails recipe to start 2017 on the right foot. Cheers!

1.Pomegranate Moscow mule
The Moscow mule, even though it has been on the market for a while, had a sudden rise in popularity this year. Give it a twist with pomegranate juice and you will be sure to impress your guests with something special.
Recipe:
-2 oz. of vodka
-1 oz. of pomegranate juice
-1 tbsp. of pomegranate seeds
-1 tbsp. of lime juice
-1 tsp. of honey
-½ c. ice
-ginger beer
-spring of rosemary

·         2.Manhattan
As one of my favourite drinks, I could only include it in the list. Sure, Manhattans can be found anywhere and be drank at any time. So why during New Year's Eve? Simple, everybody loves a good bourbon and this drink is different than your traditional holiday drink. So pour that alcohol and enjoy.
Recipe:
·         -1 c. of bourbon
-⅔ c. of red vermouth
-4 dashes of Angostura bitters
-4 orange twists
-4 cherries
·         3.Blackberry thyme sparkler
I love making cocktails for my guests, especially if they are easy to make but look complicated. This one is no exception. It not only looks chic, but also taste good! But beware of the sweetness, there is still champagne in it.
·         Recipe:
·         -1 c. blackberries + 8 more for garnish
-1 c. of water
-1 c. of sugar
-butter
-1 bottle of champagne
-4 oz. of gin
-4 sprigs of thyme
-1 c. of ice
-gold baking sugar for the rim
First, in a saucepan, bring the blackberries, water and sugar to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes until it becomes a syrup. Drain the blackberries and wait until they cool down. Then, apply butter on the rim of your champagne glasses and dip it in the gold baking sugar. Finally, add 1 oz. of gin per glass, 2 oz of the syrup, champagne, blackberries and the sprig of thyme. Voilà!
4.Hot spiked cider
I don't know about you, but during the new year celebration, the weather gets pretty cold. Starting the new year with a warm drink can be a good thing, especially if your guests aren't familiar with the harsh winter weather.
Recipe:
-1 quart of water
-3 orange spice tea bags
-½ c. of light brown sugar
-2 c. of apple cider
-1 & ½ c. of light rum
-8 cinnamon sticks
-3 tsp. of butter
Pour water into a large saucepan and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat and put the orange spice tea bags in it. Let it infuse for 5 minutes and remove the tea bags. Put the sugar, apple cider, rum and 2 cinnamon sticks and let it warm up. Pour the drink in the mugs, add ½ tsp of butter in each. Finish with cinnamon sticks for garnish.
5.Habitant
As a proud Canadian, I am obligated to provide you with a cocktail recipe what contains maple syrup. It is mandatory. Seriously, this drink has just the hint of sweetness that you need to celebrate the upcoming year. Enjoy!
Recipe:
-2 oz. of Canadian Whiskey
-1 oz. of lemon juice
-1 tsp. of maple syrup
-1 slice of orange for garnish
-1 maraschino cherry for garnish
I hope you enjoyed those recipes and that you have a fine evening with your family and friends. I also wish you a happy new year and a blast for 2017!

Best traveller's stocking gifts ideas

What is more pleasant than receiving gifts for your future travel? ...Giving some!
We all know we can't afford to pay a full tropical vacation to all of our family members (except if you are rich), but we can make their future plans easier. If you are just a bit like myself, everyone in your family and friends are travellers. That is the reason why I like giving practical, but small things for the adventurers in my life. Also, for those of you who are still students or, somehow, spent all of their money on travels, here are a few cheap things for your loved ones' stocking.

1.Travel diary
One thing I like to do before I go on a vacation is organise my schedule. My travel diary is actually filled with itinerary and tickets for monuments all over the world, so it acts as a planner and a souvenir. I also like to write down my blog ideas in it, making sure I don't forget my sudden stroke of genius.
2.Portable Charger
I actually received this gift last year and have been using it non-stop ever since. It is a life and frustrations saver. With this portable charger, your loved ones will never go exploring without a fully charged phone.

3.Cocktail Kit
When I go on a vacation, I like to treat myself to a little drink, especially on the plane, before having an elbows fight with my seat neighbour. More seriously, if your traveller is feeling a bit fancier than the traditional coca cola, he only needs to ask for vodka, add the ingredients and voilà!
4.Passport holder
I don't know about you, but when I first started travelling, I was so nervous about everything, my palms got sweaty. And so did my passport. I always seemed to search for it at the security, holding up the line. So I decided to invest in a passport holder, that way it is easy to find and protects it from my sweaty hands.

5.Luggage tag
We never have enough luggage tags. With this small gift, you can prevent a nightmarish day of lost luggage.

6.Running Ipod armband
If your special someone likes running or just want to keep his shape during travel; try buying an armband for his Ipod or phone. It is practical and protects your device while travelling.
7.Cord clip
When you travel, you have no time to organise your ear buds, laptop power supply and phone charger cords. So when you need to actually take something out of your bag, everything falls off because the strings have magically attached to objects in a split second (happens to me all the time). So let's just say that this embarrassing moment won't happen to your loved one if you give them cord clip.

8.Money
Yes, money. We all need money to travel, that is a known fact. It can be a few dollars or the country money for the future travel.
I hope you found some ideas for your holiday stocking gifts. All the links to the products features in this article are listed down below. Good luck with your shopping!
