In june, a
couple a friends, my boyfriend and I decided to go on a road trip to the
Eastern Township to explore the local wineries. We established our base in the
lively town of Bromont, near the famous skiing mountain. It wasn't my first
time in the lovely city, so I wanted to try a hotel where I've never been to.
The old town seemed like a good idea, so we tried Auberge nuits deSaint-Georges .
Squeezed
between the colourful and cute houses of the old village, the red brick hotel
seemed like a sturdy manor straight out of the Victorian era. As we stepped
inside, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful decoration, perfectly picked
to make us feel home. As a french canadian travelling in my own region, I
sometime feel like hotels aren't adapted to the local culture. The Auberge
nuits de Saint-Georges wasn't like that. The decor and space looked like a warm
authentic french canadian cottage in the middle of a city.
As we entered,
we felt immediately welcome as the host came to greet us with a warm smile on
her face. She made our stay a pleasant experience and recommended local
wineries based on our taste. We continued to our suite, still decorated with
great taste, and headed back for further exploration.
The hotel,
also offering massages, is equipped with a 4 season spa and a sauna. As we
headed outside, we stumbled upon a gallery overlooking a fantastic garden near
the local golf course. But the magic happens in the breakfast area where you
get served a delicious 3 courses meal. A bright room with a beautiful fireplace
is where you will be starting your morning every day.
If you are
planning an authentic and delicious experience in the Eastern Township, I would
definitely recommend the Auberge nuits de Saint-Georges.
You won't regret it.
Enjoy,
The little traveller's boots
