This
summer, I made a resolution of exploring my own country along with my friends.
Of course, road trips were part of the plan and since I am a late packer
(guilty!), I made myself an easy list of things to bring with me on the road to
have a nice time away. Here it is:
1-Ipod and
playlists
A big part of road tripping is the music. If you drive for 8 hours without any
music, even with your closest friends, you're a god. Of course, your friends
have interesting stories to tell, but not for 8 hours straight. I recommend creating
your own personalized playlists a week before the actual road trip, including
music you and your friend loves and can sing along to.
2-Blanket
Remember that time you had the AC on for hours and caught a cold? Yeah, you
need a blanket. This can also be useful when you stop to look at the sunset or
have an impromptu picnic at a random location.
3-Camera
This one is pretty self-explanatory; you need your camera to snap all the
beautiful adventures you and your friends are living and the fantastic sights.
One cool shot I recommend is to take your go pro and film the scenic road. It
will make a cool movie to watch later on.
4-Snacks
and water
No road trip would be complete without a few snacks and drinks. That way, you
won't have to stop at restaurants to eat while driving long distances and it
will save you lots of time and money. Also, if you are in possession of any
type of candy bag, don't open it while driving, it will spill everywhere (true
story ha-ha). Instead, give it to the co-pilot.
5-Sunglasses
Protect your eyes from sunrise to sunset and you'll never have any problem on
the road. Seriously, the sun can be a nuisance when driving, so always have a
pair of sunglasses with you. This will also give you a badass look in the
pictures.
6-Books and
magazines
If you are not driving, a good book or a magazine will keep you busy after you
have worn out all discussion subjects with the driver.
7-Portable
charger
This is a life saver! Ever since I got one of these, I can't live without it!
Make sure it is charged before you go on your journey, plug your
almost-out-of-battery phone or camera on it and TADA! You are ready to take
epic pictures and videos again.
Hope
you are having a wonderful summer,
Enjoy,
